Digital images don’t just feature the picture, the image itself. They also feature a lot of additional info – info on when the photo was taken, info on the device used to take the photo, info on where the photo was taken, and more. With PhotoInfoEx you can access and edit said info. You can use the application to access a photo’s main info, EXIF info, IPTC info, and maker notes.

You can run PhotoInfoEx on your machine if it meets the following system requirements: 700MHz processor or better, 256MB of RAM memory or more, 800x600 or higher resolution monitor, 400MB of free disk space, Windows operating system (anything from Windows 98 to Windows 7). By looking at these requirements it’s safe to say that modern and even older PCs will have no problem running PhotoInfoEx.

The application’s interface is divided into three panels. The one on the far left allows you to explore your machine, find folders that contain images. Select a folder that contains images and thumbnail previews will be presented on the panel in the middle. Select an image preview and the info associated with that image will be presented in the panel to the right.

PhotoInfoEx allows you to access the following info:
Main info – filename, image type, width, height, file size, and so on.
EXIF info – the make and model of the device used to take the model, X and Y resolution, the date when the image was shot, artist info, exposure time, GPS info, and so on.
IPTC info – object type, object name, urgency, category, keywords, release date, caption, and so on.
Maker notes – flash mode, image size, digital zoom, contrast, sharpness, camera serial number, and so on.

All this info can be viewed, edited, deleted, saved, exported, printed, and translated.

Please note that PhotoInfoEx is not free, it is only free to try – for a period of 21 days.
There are two PhotoInfoEx editions: Standard and Lite. The Lite version does not edit RAW image files and cannot translate IPTC keywords.

Access, edit, or delete all the info that digital images hide under the hood. You can very easily do this with PhotoInfoEx.

Pros

A modern PC will have no problems meeting this application’s system requirements. Installing PhotoInfoEx takes little time and effort. Figuring out the interface also takes little time. PhotoInfoEx allows you to access a picture’s main info, EXIF info, IPTC info, and maker notes.

Cons

21-day trial.
